See how 12 local establishments fared in the food scores for April 28-May 4.
The following food and health scores were reported by Paulding County Environmental Health within the past few days. Environmental Health’s goal in rating establishments is to give the public the information needed to protect themselves from risk factors linked to illness or injury.
Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from a best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

Kelly and Christina - I ask the same thing, too, about Jalepeno Joes! On January 26, 2012, they received a 56. A few days after a follow up, January 30, 2012, they received a 92. Then on routine inspection they are back down to a score of 47 as recent as April 2, 2012. A lot of these violations are the same time and time again. And what is scary, I happened to order from them a few Saturday nights ago. I had already ate after learning their score. I will never eat there again. Just went back to look at Jalapeno Joes and as of now their current score as of April 10, 2012 is a 70. They were given 15 days to comply and bring all violations up to health code. I would imagine a new revised inspection report should be posted within the next few days.
