Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with the Rev. Daryl Golden, the Rev. Bobby Cheek and the Rev. Ed Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens, 3180 S. Sweetwater Road, Lithia Springs. Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Raimey, Corey Voliva, Bryan Henry, Eddie Smith, Clay Walker and Lynn Conrad.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 19, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.; and Friday, July 20, from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Thomas R. Powell: Sept. 7, 1941 - July 16, 2012. The 70-year-old Rockmart resident passed away at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Fla., following an extended illness.
