Just days before its groundbreaking, attendees to Thursday’s Paulding County Chamber of Commerce Georgia Power Luncheon learned about the WellStar Paulding Hospital, slated to open in the spring of 2014.

Reynold J. Jennings, chairman and CEO of WellStar Health Systems, served as keynote speaker of the luncheon held at the Paulding County Senior Center. While Jennings' presentation covered some of the present happenings in the health group, the majority of his time was focused on the future—especially that of the hospital currently being built in Hiram along Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway at Bill Carruth Parkway, next to the Paulding Physicians Center.

The groundbreaking for the WellStar Paulding Hospital is set for Monday at 2 p.m., with shuttles taking attendees to the groundbreaking site from New Canaan Baptist Church on Atlanta Highway.

See highlights of Jennings’ presentation in the attached video.

We’ll bring you coverage of Monday’s groundbreaking next week.
