We may be going into a holiday weekend, but gas prices continue to fall in Paulding County and surrounding areas.
According to Atlanta Gas Prices, the cheapest gas in Dallas currently is found at the Marathon on Dallas-Acworth Highway near Bobo Road, where unleaded regular fuel is priced at $3.11 a gallon. In Hiram, the cheapest price for regular unleaded fuel right now is $3.11 a gallon at the Sam's Club on Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway.
In neighboring counties, the lowest-priced regular gas is $3.09 a gallon in Cartersville, Acworth and Powder Springs, and $3.13 a gallon in Douglasville.
And, in some areas of metro Atlanta, gas prices have dipped below $3 a gallon. At Kroger and Murphy USA on Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain, regular unleaded gas is $2.97 a gallon.
According to AAA, the current average prices for regular gas in Georgia is $3.16 a gallon. The national average is $3.36 a gallon, down from $3.38 a gallon on Wednesday. The average gas price is down 11 cents from last week and 27 cents from one month ago.
