Why didn't Gingrey tell the man that the initial lightbulb-overhaul legislation was passed during the BUSH administration? Obama had NOTHING to do with it.

Another point that might have been mentioned, the EPA was not 'created in the mid 1970's' as Gingrey stated, but in 1970, by yes, President R.M. Nixon, a Republican. But history and logic are mostly meaningless in much of the arguments we hear. JMP

I don't know L.W., if the Apostles were riding around on dinosaurs, I'd have thought someone would have mentioned it back then. All we hear of are the asses & mules. But the general point is well taken. JMP

Mr. Gingrey states that he doesn't want a president to rule by executive order but, when the House will not agree to anything presented - or compromise at all - what does the House expect? Weren't you, Mr. Gingrey, involved in the debt ceiling debate and didn't you hear members of the House stating that they would rather see the country go over the cliff than negotiate or compromise to reach an agreement. And, have you been there when the House said NO to every proposal received from the executive office? If I was a member of the House, it would be plain and simple for me to see that there was a vendetta going on against this president. There is no doubt in my mind. This president won by a significant 52 to 46% if the vote and 2/3 if the electoral college - a mandate. However, he has received no respect for anything he has done or tried to do. There is something wrong here.
