The Hiram City Council will meet for the first time this year on Thursday for a special called meeting.
The meeting, set for 6 p.m. in the city’s community center at 217 Main St., includes on its agenda a proposed resolution to extend by 90 days the city’s moratorium restricting the issuance of permits for signs. Also under consideration is a $2,465 change order request for the community center’s HVAC upgrade project, which will see four thermostats replaced with remote access and compatible “smart” thermostats.
Councilmen also will consider alcohol license renewals from seven businesses in the city.
The complete agenda for Thursday’s meeting is attached to this article in PDF form.
After Thursday’s meeting, the council’s next scheduled gathering is its Jan. 8 regular meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.
