Our intention is to provide the news you need to know about the local real estate market. As one buyer recently remarked, “I had no idea there were so many buyers in the market and that our competition would be this stiff.” Did you know that contrary to the reports you hear from larger media sources, the Paulding County market is in fact facing a steep decline in available inventory from the beginning of 2011? As of Dec. 29, the HUD website listed just 22 HUD-owned homes available for purchase in Paulding County. That’s a major decrease from just 12 months ago. In January, First Multiple Listing Service reports showed an available inventory in Paulding of just less than nine months, and in September, the inventory was just under four months. That will tell you the market is moving and consumers are purchasing homes. With more favorable lending fees and interest rates the lowest they have been in decades, smart consumers are taking advantage of the local market in vast numbers.
