One Team Still Shining in Region Play
Here are five things you need to know as your week begins.
1. Coming off an overnight low temperature of about 28, today’s high will be near 60 and coupled with sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. Expect winds of 5-10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Tonight’s low will be just above freezing.
2. East Paulding prevailed over Osborne in Saturday’s Region 5-AAAA Basketball Tournament and advances to the next round, while two other local teams, Hiram and Paulding County, weren’t so lucky.
3. One Hiram business has closed its doors. Saturday was the last day the city’s Kroger store was set to be open. Regulars to the Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway grocer have several other area Kroger stores to choose from within a short radius if they choose to do so.
