Patch Picks: Need a Place to Watch the 'Big Game'?
Here are a few places in Dallas and Hiram where you can watch Sunday's Super Bowl XLV.
Sunday will mark the 45th edition of the Super Bowl, and several restaurants in Dallas and Hiram are vying to become your first destination for the 'Big Game.'
Here are a few places to watch the game, which will see a 6:30 p.m. kickoff between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers:
Beef 'O' Brady's, 76 Seven Hills Blvd., Dallas
Boasting two big screens and 15 other TVs on which to watch the game, Beef 'O' Brady's will offer patrons a 20 chicken wing and beer pitcher package deal for $15. The restaurant will remain open until 10 p.m. or later should the game run long.
Buffalo Wild Wings, 5000 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway, Hiram
Open until midnight Sunday, diners at Buffalo Wild Wings will be able to watch the game on high-definition TV screens across the restaurant, the number of which approaches 40. For those who might enjoy B-dub's chicken but prefer to watch the game from the comfort of their home, the eatery is taking pre-orders on wings.
Hooters, 5464 Wendy Bagwell Parkway, Hiram
The servers promise that their restaurant will be full of "a lot of energy," with customers able to enjoy deals on food and drink and chances to win prizes. The specials of the day are 25-ounce Budweisers and Bud Lights for $3.50 each, and buy-10-get-10-free chicken wings. The game will be shown on nearly 20 TVs throughout the restaurant.
A 42-inch LG brand LCD HDTV will be given away at halftime; there is no purchase necessary, but you must be present to win. The restaurant also will hold other giveaways and games throughout the evening.
Johnny's New York Style Pizza and Subs, 127 E. Paulding Drive, Dallas
Open until 9 p.m., the game will be on the restaurant's eight TVs. Boasting the "coldest beer in town," customers also will be able to take advantage of Johnny's "Family Special"—$21.95 for a 16-inch two-topping pizza, two salads and an order of cheese breadsticks.
