Teen Arrested After Friday's Shooting

A Douglasville teen has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in a domestic dispute at a Hart Rd. address Friday that put Allgood Elementary School on lockdown.

A Douglasville teen was arrested Friday afternoon after a domestic dispute on Hart Rd., involving shots reportedly fired.

Ryan Conner Hembree, 19, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, possession of a firearm during a crime attempt, possession of an illegal firearm and theft by receiving stolen property and remains in a Paulding County Jail, according to arrest records.

The complainant told Paulding County Sheriff's authorities that the suspect drove by her residence and shot several times at her home on Hart Rd.

According to Paulding Schools Associate Superintendent Brian Otott, Allgood Elementary was placed on lockdown due to the incident but Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ashley Henson said the school was not threatened or in any danger during the incident.
