The city of Dallas may not be fielding any athletes in this year’s Olympics, but it will be the site of an Olympic-themed broadcast on Thursday.
Dallas was chosen as one of the communities to be visited by 11 Alive News during the Olympic games; the news station is a part of WXIA, the NBC affiliate out of Atlanta, which is broadcasting the Olympics.
The broadcast will originate from the Dallas Theater, and the public is invited to attend. Starting at 5 p.m., a reporter from 11 Alive will be interacting with community members, asking questions about the Olympics and more. The news station will be awarding a prize for the attendee with the best poster, so those coming are encouraged to create colorful and creative posters around the theme of the Olympics or WXIA.
Those wishing to attend Thursday’s event are asked to email email@example.com with their name and the number of people in their party to help organizers plan for it.
11 Alive isn’t the first Atlanta station to broadcast from Paulding in recent months. In March, Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” program visited Paulding County High after viewers gave the school the most votes in the “High 5 Field Trip” contest.
