What Could Go in This Shopping Center?
Several storefronts in this Hiram facility could use some occupants.
Our second edition of “Fill in the Blank”—where we show you a vacant building in Dallas or Hiram, and you tell us what type of establishment you'd like to see move in—features a few blanks that could be filled in by a variety of businesses.
The shopping center at 4484 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in Hiram is anchored by an OfficeMax, but has what appears to be as many as four retail spaces available, according to the David Garfunkel & Company real estate firm, which is advertising the vacancies. According to the company’s ad, spaces of 1,500 to 8,100 square feet are available for rent.
A Halloween City occupied some of the space last year, but surely Paulding residents would like to see some permanent occupants in the retail slots. So we’re asking you, our readers, what would you like to see open up in this shopping center? Give us your thoughts in the comment section below.
We’ll be using our Fill in the Blank column to report on previously reported empty storefronts should there be news on potential businesses moving in. Let us know if you get wind of any talk of new business coming to town and we’ll look into it—that’s how we heard last year about Academy Sports’ plans to build in Hiram following the closure of the city’s Kroger location.
Lastly, if there are any vacant storefronts or buildings you would like us to explore, let us know in the comments.
