Wheelchair Bowlers from Several States Compete in Dallas

About 30 bowlers from nine states came to Dallas this past weekend to compete in the eighth-annual Wheelchair Bowling Tournament of the American Wheelchair Bowling Association (AWBA) Southern Open.
States represented included not only Georgia but also California, Florida, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Assisted by his wife Linda, Harold Bowman served as the tournament director. At the Paulding Bowling Center in Dallas, the event began Friday morning, continued Saturday with the morning opening ceremonies and concluded Sunday with more tournament play and an evening banquet.
