Your Fourth of July Guide
From where to go for fireworks, how to get there cheaply and what kind of weather to expect when you get there, Dallas-Hiram Patch has you covered.
The chances are good that we’ll have independence from rain today, but unfortunately, there will be no freedom from high temperatures.
The National Weather Service says there will be a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly sunny skies with the mercury stretching to about the 95-degree mark. Tonight, the 30-percent chance of rain and storms continues until about 2 a.m. The temps are expected to drop to just under 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
So what will you be doing on this hot, and hopefully rain-free, day? We told you last week that there were no government-sponsored fireworks or special events set in Paulding County in celebration of the Fourth of July. But if you’re willing to drive outside the county’s borders, a few neighboring cities have events ranging from morning parades to fireworks after dark.
How will you be spending your Fourth of July? Tell us in the comments.
In addition to some of our neighboring cities, nearby Six Flags Over Georgia also will be setting off fireworks. South Cobb Patch has a guide on how you can celebrate the Fourth with a visit to the theme park.
So now that we’ve given you places to go, let us help you get there.
