DESCRIPTION:The Gospel Jam is an informal gathering of musicians\, singer
 s and listeners\, meeting on the second Friday nights in the Fellowship 
 Hall of Poplar Springs Baptist Church for around 15 years. String instru
 ment players (guitar\, banjo\, fiddle\, mandolin\, Dobro\, bass\, autoha
 rp\, etc.) and singers gather to play hymns and Gospel tunes\, stand aro
 und the piano and sing and enjoy food and fellowship. Usually\, there ar
 e about 25 musicians from many churches.&nbsp\;\nEveryone is invited to 
 participate - either by playing\, singing\, clapping hands and patting f
 eet or listening. "Come give it a try\, and help us make a Joyful Noise 
 to the Lord\," says Larry Holland\, one of the organizers.
