A community fundraising event set for Saturday, Nov. 10, will support “The Mitch Overcomer Fund,” named after Mitch Comer, who on Sept. 11 was found by authorities in a Greyhound bus station in Los Angeles. At the time, the 18-year-old, whom authorities said appeared to only be 12 or 13, weighed only 87 pounds and was just over 5 feet tall.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Taylor Farm Park. In addition to a live auction at 2 p.m., the event will feature vendors, food, entertainment and raffles, including a 50/50 raffle.
