3. Greenville, SC – There’s something for all ages in Greenville. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate is the 10th largest children’s museum in the world. If you like cars, visit the BMW Zentrum where you can see classic cars and learn about the car maker’s history. The Zentrum is free, but you can also get a tour of the BMW manufacturing plant for a charge.
4. Helen – Adults can go and taste new wines at the Habersham Winery or Frogtown Cellars. Little girls (and grown women too) will love a visit to Babyland General Hospital, the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids in nearby Cleveland. And don’t forget to make a visit to the old German town.
5. Lake Hartwell, SC - Straddling the Georgia/South Carolina line is this gem of a lake. Enjoy fishing, boating, and swimming on the lake. You can also hike the scenic trails, go bird watching and enjoy a picnic and more. A campground is also on site.
