Community Corner

Baseball Registration 50% Off

When times are hard, jobs scarce and money tight, one of the first things cut from families’ budgets are the extracurricular activities.  Southwest Baseball has found a way to help out the Hiram - Dallas community.  They are offering their spring baseball program for boys and girls ages 2/1 to 12 years at over 50% off their Spring 2013 rates.  No gimmicks, no tricks, no extra money due later, quite simply, just a 50% savings.  In 2013 the baseball association raised money to completely renovate their batting cages.  Through this effort, they were able to gain more money than needed in the renovation.  The board of directors have decided to take that money and give back to the community by cutting their registration rates to just $40 for 2 ½ to 4 year olds, $60 for 5/6 and 7/8 year old age groups and $80 for 9/10 and 11/12 year old age groups!   They are very excited to continue the growth of the park and help out families in a time of need.  Southwest Baseball plays out of Clarkdale Park on Austell-Powder Springs Road just 10 minutes from Hiram.  Don’t miss out on this great savings, although it is frigid outside now, baseball registration for the spring ends January 18th!  For more information or to register, please visit Southwest Baseball at their website at www.southwestbaseball.org
