2 Nearby Highways Get Some Makeup

The surface of SR 120, in Paulding County, is currently getting some repairs.

The surface of two local highways, in Fannin and Paulding Counties are currently getting a little make up. Starting today through Friday, March 29, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., State Route (SR) 60 in Fannin County and SR 120 in Paulding County will be getting some repairs.

The Georgia DOT Maintenance crews will work on sealing the cracks on the surface of the roadway of SR 60 in Fannin County and SR 120 in Paulding County. Β Sealing pavement cracks is a Georgia DOT maintenance practice that helps to prevent water from entering the base and sub-base of the roadway and extend the pavement life by at least three years, while improving rideability on that roadway. Crack sealing work on these highways will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.
