Brace For Possible Severe Storms Tonight

The National Weather Service says Paulding residents should be ready for strong winds, severe storms this evening.

Though Paulding , which expired at noon, no such alerts were issued by meteorologists as of late this afternoon. But weather experts say severe weather remains possible tonight.

The National Weather Service says residents of Dallas and Hiram will see showers and thunderstorms tonight, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., with some of those storms possibly becoming severe.

A wind advisory has been issued through 9 p.m., with current forecasts calling for winds of 5 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph. Beyond the 9 p.m. hour, our overnight low is expected to dip just below the 60-degree mark.

When Thursday rolls around, the forecast says chance of showers and T-storms before 8 a.m. will drop to 30 percent. Otherwise, Thursday is shaping up to be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 70. The winds of the day before will more or less persist thoughβ€”a northwest wind of 5 to 15 mph could gust as high as 20 mph.
