It’s mid-December, which means that many college students are nearly or have already finished with their semester. And with the end of the semester could come some good news that they—or you as a proud parent, other relative or friend—want to share.
If you’re looking to share a graduation announcement, achieving a spot on the Dean’s List or receiving a scholarship, you can post this news on Dallas-Hiram Patch.
Learn the many ways you can share your news on Patch by checking out our "Patch 101" series.
To start, make sure you're a registered user on Patch (all you need is a name and an email address). Log onto Patch, then scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Announce something to everyone" under the "Contribute" category or click here—you’ll be taken to a page when you can upload your school news as an announcement.
In the announcement template, write a title. Select a category that best fits the announcement and write a brief description. You can even add photos to accompany your announcement—perhaps a headshot or that great cap and gown photo. After posting your announcement, you can share the link with your friends and family.
Beyond school-related news, Patch has a category for almost everything you want to announce (births, accomplishments, sports awards, volunteers needed, obituaries, etc.), so feel free to post an announcement for just about anything. Patch wants to help connect you with our community.
It's just that simple and we can't wait to hear your news, so get busy posting today!
