Dallas Man Injured in Marietta Crash

Joe Carver, 52, is listed in stable condition after a serious crash that occurred in Marietta Wednesday.

The Marietta Police Department is investigating a serious crash that occurred in the southbound lanes of North Fairground Street, just north of Fort Street, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The initial on-scene investigation revealed that a 1996 Honda Civic, driven by Jose Guadalupe Zamora, 18, of Marietta, was traveling northbound on Fairground Street, according to a press release from Officer David Auld.

The Honda crossed over the double yellow line and into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Acie James Farrey, 31, of Morrow.

The Chevrolet struck the Honda, causing the Honda to spin into the path of a 2012 Ford E350 cutaway van β€” a Cobb County Schools maintenance vehicle driven by Danny Roark, 53, of Acworth. A passenger, 52-year-old Joe Carver, of Dallas, was also in the van, according to the release.

The Ford struck the Honda before the Honda came to stop. The Honda was crushed against a fence, according to The Marietta Daily Journal.

Zamora, Roark and Carver were transported to Kennestone Hospital. Zamora is listed in critical condition. Roark and Carver are listed in stable condition, according to the release.
