Go out to eat tonight at La Cocina Mexican Restaurant, in Dallas, and bring the flyer attached to this article with you from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and 15 percent of the proceeds will go to support Spay/Neuter for the Paulding County Shelter Pets.

The attached photos are of kittens that were saved by the No Kill Paulding Spay/Neuter Fund. They were tagged yesterday to be put down today. No Kill Paulding rescued and offered to spay/neuter them if the organization could take them in.

"They are being picked up for rescue today," reports Mandie Brauer, of No Kill Paulding." This helps rescues take in more as funds are very limited in rescues.

"We also offer these funds to adopters who can take their adoption paperwork to the West Georgia Spay/Neuter Clinic and get a spay/neuter and a rabies for a $10 co-pay," she said. "This helps more people adopt and prevents unwanted litters.  But, we can only offer these services as we have funds.  So, we are constantly fundraising!  This fund directly supports the Paulding County Shelter Pets."

No Kill Paulding believes that all healthy and treatable pets can be saved, if the 11 steps of The No Kill Equation are all put into place.

"We are advocating for the changes that we need, and putting into place the steps that we can to save lives in the meantime," said Brauer. " Spay/Neuter is the first step to preventing unwanted litters as well as stopping behaviors that often cause pets to be surrendered to Animal Control. Thus, No Kill Paulding would like to thank The West Georgia Spay Neuter Clinic for their work and allowing us to fund-raise with them. And we would also like to thank La Cocina for supporting this important work in our community!

"Whether we realize, appreciate, or believe it, as history marches toward greater compassion toward non-human animals, No Kill's conquest of the status quo is inevitable  If we remain silent at this moment, however, an opportunity will be lost to speed that process along.  Our silence, therefore, has a body count.  The price to be paid for our refusal to seize this opportunity will be the lives of millions of dogs and cats needlessly killed in shelters next year.  And the year after that."
