Here’s what SafeWise had to say about our town:

Dallas is situated in the Atlanta metro area in the heart of Paulding County, which is Georgia’s second fastest growing county, and while maintaining its growing population, Dallas has put various police measures in place to keep its crime rate at a minimum. As a result, the city reported just seven robberies in 2012, making the streets feel a bit safer for the city’s residents.

This growing population needs things to do, and Dallas answers with Sara Babb Park. The park is a hub of recreational activity, including four lighted tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, two volleyball courts, a swimming pool, bicycle trails, and more. Coleman Camp Park is another park in the area that offers plenty of walking trails, outdoor grills, and picnic tables. The Dallas Theater Civic Center buzzes with activities, ensuring that there’s never a shortage of things to do in Dallas.

There are things to do in Paulding County if you look for them. Check out the Historic Dallas Courthouse Gallery and Studios on the 2nd floor of the old courthouse. They have art classes every day of the week and art exhibits year round in the gallery. The Annual Fall Fest in downtown Dallas in October and Christmas Parade in December are lots of fun for the family. Local churches have plenty of activities. We also have the wonderful Silver Comet Trail for riding bikes and walking. My sister in law drives all the way from Buford to ride her bike here as we have the prettiest paths for biking here in Dallas going toward Rockmart. Nearby, Hiram has plenty of restaurants, huge movie theatre, etc. Just a short drive north on Hwy. 61 from Dallas, Cartersville has several wonderful museums such as Tellus, Bartow History Museum and Booth Western Art Museum.

Dallas is without a doubt the absolute most boring place I've ever lived...17 cities and counting..I've never thought this way about any place I've lived..paulding county is a nasty mess and the people here are more than rude..if going to a dinky lil "museum" is it, that just proves my point. Suuuuuuucks.

Awww, no love for Dallas. Hiram's pretty much the same but I spent 23 years there and miss the ole country. Lol. It's not a college town, no clubs and curfew is strict. But if you know the right boy, he can take ya muddin'. It's a nice quiet town meant for slow relaxing hobbies. Mostly outdoors. Fantastic place to cozy up in and slow down.
