Harlem Hoopsters to Hit Hiram High

The Harlem Ambassadors basketball team will play against community members during a March 3 fundraising event.

A traveling team of talented basketball players will bring their skills to on Thursday to benefit a local group.

The Harlem Ambassadors will tip off at 7 p.m. against a team fielded by Court Appointed Special Advocates of Paulding County Inc., which will take in the proceeds of ticket sales to fund the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers who work with abused and neglected children in the county.

The mission of CASA of Paulding County Inc. is to provide trained and supervised volunteers to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children who are involved in the juvenile court system, and to assist in finding a permanent, safe, and loving home for each of these children as soon as possible.

Tickets are on sale for $5 at in Dallas and Benson’s Bar-B-Que in Hiram. Tickets also will be sold at the door for $7. 

Sponsorships are available at levels of $100, $500 and $1,000, with donation benefits including selection of players to the CASA community team, publicity at the event and free tickets.

They are committed to giving their audience quality family entertainment and serving as positive role models for young people.

Since 1998, Harlem Ambassadors, Inc. has partnered with hundreds of non-profit organizations in all 50 states and 19 foreign countries.
