Mad Things to do This Weekend

Festive family activities include car shows, choral music and a fun tea party for girls and their mothers and grandmothers

"Music in Our Schools" Concerts in the Courthouse (Lunchtime concerts)

When: Friday at 12:15 p.m. - Chorus; 12:45 p.m., Burnett Elementary School Chorus; and Tuesday at 12:15 p.m., School Chorus

Where: in the Courthouse Atrium

Why go: Attend to not only enjoy some great choral music but to show your support for music programs in Douglasville schools.

2nd Annual Rock & Rev Car Show

When: Saturday, from 10 a.m. t0 3 p.m

Where: , 6500 Alexander Parkway

Why go: Proceeds will be used to provide the school with a new trophy case and possible outdoor classroom.

Car Show to Benefit Douglas County Special Olympics Therapeutic Board

When: Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 

Where: 3870 Longview Drive

Why go: 100% of proceeds benefit our Special Olympic athletes.  Enough said!

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

When: Saturday fr0m 10 t0 11:30 a.m.

Where:, 8652 Campbellton Street 

Why go:  Wonderland in Douglasville! This tea party for children ages 3 to 10 years old and their mothers/grandmothers is a very special annual event featuring scenes from Alice In Wonderland, including flamingo croquet, sing-a-long music, storytelling, egg hunts.

Douglas County Chamber Singers Spring Concert

When: Tuesday, at 8 p.m. 

Where: , Prestley Mill Road at Hospital Drive 

Why go: A wonderful opportunity to listen to secular and sacred song concert, featuring the singers, Frank Buttler (hand bell ringer), and the Douglas County Young Singers
