Paranormal Society at Work on New Movie, 'Haunted Houses'

Members of the Paulding Paranormal Society released their first film, "Verifiable Evidence," last year and are currently filming, "Haunted Houses."

The Paulding Paranormal Society formed in 2006 with two goals in mind, according to their website, to help people in the community prove or disprove possible supernatural occurrences; and to bring like-minded individuals together.

Since the formation of PPS the team has helped dozens of families and conducted hundreds of cases in the state of Georgia.

"Verifiable Evidence" premiered at the Dallas Theater last October to an audience of about 300. PPS also produced a trailer for the movie.

"Given the success of our screening event in October, PPS has been hard at work developing the sequel," said Billy Engler, PPS director. "Verifiable Evidence 2: Haunted Houses is sure to be a whole new experience for the audience.

The group's first movie covers locations all around Paulding County. The film documents paranormal investigations taking place and filmmakers say the audience experiences compelling and sometimes frightening evidence.

Then the paranormal teams share their own thoughts about each piece.

"I wanted to give the team something to do, something more than just cases. I wanted us to be able to put on our own events, create our own mark, and have something to work for," said Engler. "Something to make all this worth it. After batting around a few ideas at several meetings we all landed on creating a film and holding a screening event. To be perfectly honest, I'm very pleased that this is the direction we chose."

The film will appeal to "anyone with a curious mind and a passion for the unknown," he said.

Although the second film is not yet finished, here is the trailer.
