Paulding County Library to Hold Anniversary Celebration, Be Renamed
The public is invited to the renaming of the Paulding County Library to the Dallas Library on Feb. 5.
An anniversary celebration will take place at the Dallas Library, 1010 E. Memorial Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
The celebration will include a brief program at 2 p.m., including County Commission Chairman Austin, Dallas City Mayor Austin, West Georgia Regional Director, Roni Tewksbury, Dallas Library Branch Manager, Justin Nobles and Cherry B. Waddell, Paulding County library services coordinator.
The program, planned to last 30 minutes, will include a brief history of the Paulding County Library System. The program will be followed by a reception catered by Jackie Crum of the Ragsdale Inn.
"We will have a display of photos, news clippings and documents that represent the last 35 years history of the library," Waddell said in an email. "We will also be officially announcing the name change of The Paulding County Library to The Dallas Library. This is truly a huge footprint in the ongoing legacy of the county library system!"
