Pep Rally 5K Set for Saturday

Saturday Nov. 2 is the Paulding Pep Rally 5K Run (and walk!) and Fun Run!   The 5K is a Rain or Shine Event, but the weather should be perfect this Saturday morning. The race Starts at 8 a.m. 

Your race bag/tshirts/bib will be available for pick up from your school beginning Thursday morning at 531 Seaboard Avenue, Hiram, in parking lot next Location:to Silver Comet Trail.

Overflow parking is available at Hiram Elementary Parking:and Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Registration is available Walk Up Registration: on active.com until Thursday evening.

Same day late registration is available, but please arrive by 7 a.m. to register by the 7:30 a.m. cut off. T shirts are not guaranteed with late registration.  Route: The beginning and ending will be on the Silver Comet  Trail.

Runners should remember to line up on only the RIGHT side of the trail. The route is available at www.pauldingeducationfoundation.com.  

Timing:  This is not a timed event. A large clock will be  available for reference.

Organizers will provide awards for the top finishers. Presented at 8:45 am. Trophies will be provided to Awards: the top male and female overall.  The male and female 1st place finishers in each of the age categories (Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and Over) will receive a trophy if you provided your age/birthdate.

Fun Run runners will receive a finisher ribbon.  The Fun Run will begin at approximately 8:10 am, Fun Run: once all of the 5K runners have crossed the start line.  You are welcome to run/walk with your child if that will make your child more comfortable. The Fun Run will start and finish on the Silver Comet Trail.  

Water: A water station will be supplied about 1.5 miles into  the race.  Water and bananas will be available at the end of the race for entrants and our many vendors will have goodies.  An event photographer will be on hand to take photography: candid pictures. We will also have a photo station decorated for groups to take their own photos.

Restrooms:  Restrooms are available in the park and at the Silver Comet Trail station.
