School in Session as Weather Starts Improving

Here are few things to know on this week's last weekday.

1. First and foremost, Paulding County Schools are in session today. Today was previously set to be a school holiday, but district officials in January enacted a plan to recover the six days lost to inclement weather—Dec. 16’s classes and an entire week of school canceled due to snow and ice—.

2. There’s no snow or ice in today’s forecast. We can expect mostly cloudy skies to gradually become sunny, with the high temperature in the mid 50s, says the National Weather Service. The winds will be between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Tonight should be mostly clear with a low temperature in the mid 30s.

The weather should be even better Saturday and Sunday, with the forecast calling for mostly sunny or sunny skies with daytime temperatures reaching the upper 60s.
