Severe Weather Could Precede Our Weekend

Here are a few things to know as you begin your Thursday.

1. Showers and thunderstorms just might be putting an end to our recent string of sunny days.

According to the National Weather Service, there is today as 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with the potential storms capable of becoming severe. Otherwise, we’ll see partly sunny skies with a high temperature near 86. Also be prepared for some wind—a southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph could gust as high as 25 mph. The 40 percent chance of wet stuff remains tonight, with severe storms possible. Otherwise, the skies will be mostly cloudy and the low temperature hitting about 60.
