Severe Weather Could Strike Tonight, Meteorologists Say
Updated 5:50 p.m.: Paulding could see significant thunderstorms and more tonight and early Friday.
The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms are nearly certain for Paulding and surrounding counties tonight.
Paulding remains under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7 p.m. Forecasters are putting the chance or precipitation at 90 percent for the remainder of the night, and storm experts say dime-sized hail is possible.
Meteorologists say the primary hazard associated with the predicted severe weather will be damaging winds, though large hail and an isolated tornado are not out of the realm of possibility.
