Snow Likely to Slide In Midweek

A few things you should know as your begin your workweek.

1. Rain is expected to make a return to Dallas and Hiram today, says the National Weather Service. Prepare for some wet weather after lunch as the chance of precipitation stands at 70 percent. The high temperature will be near 50 degrees on this cloudy day. There’s a slim chance of rain tonight before 1 a.m. The night’s low will be around 30 coupled with winds 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

2. Did someone say “snow”? Unfortunately, yes, as the NWS forecast says the white stuff is likely Wednesday night, with current predictions putting the chance of precipitation at 70 percent. The odds drop to 50 percent Thursday, which so far as an expected high temperature of 39.

3. The Dallas City Council will hold its regular meetings today. The council’s work session begins at 5 p.m. with the business session commencing at 7 p.m. Count on Dallas-Hiram Patch for coverage of tonight’s council action.
