Surface of 2 Highways Get Makeup

The surface of two highways in Paulding and Fannin Counties get a little makeup from today through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

SR 120 in Paulding County and State Route (SR) 60 in Fannin County will be getting resurfaced today through Friday, April 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Georgia DOT Maintenance crews will work on sealing the cracks on the surface of the roadway of SR 60 in Fannin County and SR 120 in Paulding County. Β Sealing pavement cracks is a Georgia DOT maintenance practice that helps to prevent water from entering the base and sub-base of the roadway and extend the pavement life by at least three years, while improving rideability on that roadway. Crack sealing work on these highways will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting.
