Fourth-Annual Dinner/Dance Fundraiser

When/Where: Saturday, 6-11 p.m. at Che’ne Rouge, 86 Popular Springs Road, Hiram

Why Go: Benefit for the Family Alliance of Paulding. Dance and wear fashions from the 1950s to 1980s

Price: Individual tickets $50 (discounts for large parties)

Winegrowers Association of Georgia 6th Wine Highway Weekend

When/Where: Friday, 2–5 p.m.; Saturday, noon–5 p.m.; Sunday, 12:30–5 p.m.; Ten North Georgia vineyards and wineries

Why Go: Three-day event for connoisseurs and novice wine tasters. Great weekend getaway for couples.

Price: A “passport” can be purchased at any of the 10 participating wineries for $25, which allows tastings at all 10 and a souvenir glass.

The Annual Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Where/When:  Saturday, 10 a.m.; , 8652 Campbellton St., Douglasville

Why Go: Sponsored by the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville and the Douglasville's Chapter of American Business Women's Association. Tea sessions scheduled according to age. Each session will have age-appropriate games, story telling, tea and lunch, an egg hunt, gift bags and lots more.

Price: $25 for first child and adult; $15 per additional adult and $10 per additional child

2011 Model Train Show

Why Go: Model train enthusiasts can enjoy 250 vendors, train layouts and displays, raffles and door prizes
