Tripp Halstead Family Gets New Home

Sunshine on a Ranney Day, a non-profit organization that creates dream room makeovers for children with long-term illnesses in the greater-Atlanta area, along with hundreds of invited sponsors and volunteers, revealed their biggest and most extensive home makeover to date at the completely remodeled home of Tripp Halstead and his family on Saturday, in Jefferson, GA.

Tripp suffers from a critical head injury caused by a falling tree limb in October.

Tripp’s struggle has touched so many people that the Paulding County Commissioner, David Austin, signed a proclamation on March 12 declaring April 1 Tripp Halstead Day.

The volunteer organization took Halsteads’ keys at their closing and the family has no idea what the charity has done to not only improve their home but also their lives, helping to relieve the daily stresses of caring for a special needs child.

The complete makeover includes  $200,000 in unbelievable accessible home renovations. Before photos of the home are available at http://www.sunshineonaranneyday.com/tripp-halstead---upcoming.html.

Out of a need to accommodate Tripp’s wheelchair and special needs, the Halstead’s sold their home and purchased a foreclosed one closer to family members who could provide additional support for the family. However, the home required extensive work to make it accessible and compatible with Tripp’s needs.

A Tripp Halstead fundraiser at the Chick-fil-A restaurants in Dallas and Hiram was hosted on April 1. The fundraisers that day raised more than $13,000.
