Volunteers Needed for Mass Food Distribution

Helping Hands of Paulding, Inc., is sponsoring a two-day food distribution event in conjunction with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and volunteers are needed.

, is sponsoring a two-day food distribution event in conjunction with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and volunteers are needed.

There will be two back-to-back food distributions in Paulding County, on March 7, (Thursday) by the Mobile Food Pantry and March 8 (Friday) by TEFAP Mass Food Distribution. The March 7 food distribution will be rain or shine, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (the first 200 cars) and the March 8 distribution will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both will be at the Helping Hands Facility, 228 West Spring Street, Dallas.

Anyone needing food can come both days. There will be different food each day. The distributed will include fruits, vegetables and frozen meats.

"This is a two-day major food distribution for families in need of food," Andrea Watson said in an email, executive director of Helping Hands of Paulding County, Inc. "We need to make sure as many people hear about it as possible. We will need many volunteers to help make this a successful event."
