Atlanta Film Studios Paulding County Groundbreaking Ceremony

Paulding County government, in conjunction with RoadTown Enterrprises of Los Angeles, California, will break ground on this film studio that is due to be open by December. The site is 110 Thompson Road, Dallas off Bill Carruth Parkway.

In March, Paulding County was designated as a Camera Ready Community by Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office, a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

This designation provides easier, faster and better access to county production resources and location information. The local economic impact from productions can be significant to a community, including hiring of local residents, hotel stays and purchases of goods and services.

Paulding residents who would like more information on submitting potential sites or locations as filming sites should call the Paulding Chamber of Commerce at 770-445-6016 or email the chamber's Director of Member Services Kevin Kirby at kkirby@pauldingchamber.org.

Georgia is now among the top five states in the nation for film and TV production with more than 335 productions shot in Georgia in Fiscal Year 2010, bringing in more than $759.3 million in investment to Georgia.
