Georgia Line Dancing Teams Compete at Six Flags

Hiram was represented in the Texas Roadhouse-sponsored line dancing contest Tuesday at Six Flags.

Texas Roadhouse held its third-annual Line Dancing Competition at Six Flags in Austell.

The contest was held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nine teams from three states participated in the event; four from Georgia (Douglasville, Hiram, Marietta and Snellville), three from Alabama and two from Mississippi.

Teams were comprised of eight to 10 dancers, and had to compete in three rounds of vigorous dancing where they were judged on precision, creativity and energy.

Although no Georgia teams place in the event, all teams put their best foot forward and had a lot of fun performing their routines.

One of the three teams from Alabama won the contest and will represent the region in the national line dancing competition.
