Officials: International Company Coming to Paulding

The announcement of dozens of new jobs set to come to Paulding County is expected to be made later today at the Paulding County Economic Development office in downtown Dallas.

PCED officials have invited government officials, business leaders and the media to the announcement of an international project announcement for Paulding Commerce Park.

“On Friday PCED will announce that a European based manufacturer has selected the Paulding Commerce Park for its new North American Center of Excellence,” Paulding County Economic Development officials posted on their Facebook page Thursday. “The 92,000+ square foot facility will initially employ 70 associates and be unlike any in Paulding. The company will be Paulding County's 3rd largest manufacturing operation. Paulding County's time as an economic development player in Metro Atlanta and Georgia has arrived.”

Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin alluded to the announcement during held at the .

“Hopefully we’ll have a big announcement this week in Paulding County of a new, international company that will locate near the 278 corridor, and they’re here for the logistics and the ability to get close to the Atlanta market,” Austin said. “This is a company coming from Europe. We’re not competing with Alabama or anybody else—we’re competing with the world [for these companies].”

Today’s expected announcement comes just weeks that Paulding County and Panattoni Development Company had formed a on Bill Carruth Parkway into Paulding Commerce Park.
