Economic Agency Gets $50K Boost

The city of Dallas is lending its support.

With funding commitments from the Paulding County Board of Commissioners and Paulding Chamber of Commerce, the city of Dallas is the latest entity to throw its financial support behind Paulding County Economic Development.

Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin last month presented the agency's board of directors with a $50,000 check for economic development services, according to the Paulding Neighbor.

The presentation was made just weeks before PCED announced that a major Italian manufacturer selected Paulding County for its new U.S. headquarters location.

"From new international companies selecting Paulding for major facilities to securing new incentives like the oportunity zone, PCED is working hard to help shape a prosperous future for Paulding but we couldn't do it without the financial support and involvement of our local partners," PCED Chairman Mark Haney told the newspaper. "We are very happy that Dallas has made this commitment."
