Under New Management

With their new sign in place, La Val's seafood restaurant is ready to officially take the place of what used to be The Catfish Den. A long-time fixture on Highway 92 between Douglas and Paulding Counties, La Val's replaced the Catfish Den and opened in June but will have an official grand opening this Saturday, Aug. 24.

Co-Owners Tonya Howell and Dr. Valerie Jackson welcome the community to the grand opening, which will feature and an Elvis impersonator, a live broadcast from 94.9 "The Bull" and the country band Group Highway 211.

The menu remains much the same, offering seafood, catfish, red snapper and crab. Every Thursday the restaurant offers all-you-can-eat catfish, $13.99 for fillet and $15.99 whole.
