'Workout Anytime' Owner Featured by Chamber

Matt Marks is featured this month as the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce's Spotlight Ambassador.

Marks, together with his business partner, purchased Workout Anytime in Hiram, in October 2012. Matt, although having no prior experience in the fitness industry, has actively managed and owned service businesses in the metro Atlanta area for the past 20 years.

Prior to the gym, Matt was vice-president and partner at MLQ Attorney Services, a national legal support services company for 12 years. During the 1990’s, Matt owned and operated City Courier Service, a same day package delivery service.

Matt graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance and an MBA in Marketing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Matt has been married to Diane for 27 years and has two children, Adam and Elana. Matt is currently a volunteer for the JF& CS program for adults with mental disabilities and has been a “big brother” to John Knight for 5 years. Matt also tutored weekly for 6 years in the Fulton County School System teaching children from 3rd to 5th grades in reading and math.

Matt’s business partner at Workout Anytime, Justin Shaw, is a three time heavyweight bodybuilding champion in the National Physique Committee division. 

Matt’s and Justin’s main goal is to increase the health and fitness of the residents of Paulding County.
