Community Ceremony Set for This Morning

Here are a few things to know as you begin your Thursday.

1. The rain could return today.

The National Weather Service says we have a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Otherwise, we should see partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 81. Winds of 5 to 10 mph could gust as high as 15 mph. A slight chance of showers will persist until 8 p.m., while the evening forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and a low near 57.

2. Residents of the Burnt Hickory community will be presented this morning with highway signage as the area recently earned official community designation by the Georgia Department of Transportation. Get details on this morning’s ceremony.
