County Government Closed Today, So Why Not Watch Some Bowling?

We look at what's going on today and beyond in today's edition of "5 Things."

1. The National Weather Service says we have a 30-percent chance of precipitation today, with patch fog and a slight chance of thunderstorms early, followed by a chance of showers and storms after 8 a.m. Otherwise, we should see mostly sunny skies with a high near 94 and heat index values just under 100. The 30-percent chance of rain and T-storms remains this afternoon and evening; beyond that, we should be under partly cloudy skies and a low near 70.

Looking at your weekend, showers and thunderstorms remain possible throughout, though the forecast so far puts the best chance of such weather—a 40-percent chance—on Sunday. We’ll see how the weather actually shakes up as we roll into the weekend.

2. The begins this morning at Paulding Bowling Center. We brought you earlier this week. If you show up at the bowling alley early enough today, you may still be able to enter.
