DOT to Work on State Route 6

Crews will make the repairs between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is scheduled to work through 5:30 p.m. Friday on repairs at State Route 6 in Paulding County.

The pavement is deteriorating, and crews will work from 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting, to fix the problem.

The repairs are "intended to guard against pavement failure along the edges due to the action of traffic and the loss of edge support that occurs due to the presence of water, aggressive-growth vegetation, and wind from either traffic or the atmosphere," DOT spokesman Mohamed Arafa said in a statement.
