Local Jobs, An Adoptable Pet and a License Plate Vote
Here are a few things to know as you begin your Tuesday.
1. Rain is a possibility today, albeit a slim one.
The National Weather Service puts the chance of precipitation this morning at 10 percent. Beyond 8 a.m., we should see mostly sunny skies that will take us to a high temperature near 94, coupled with winds of 5 to 10 mph. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight, mainly before 2 a.m., while the entire evening forecast tells us we’re in for mostly cloudy skies and a low near 71.
2. "Baby Girl" has been at for a while, and we hope someone out there will adopt her. See this playful Chihuahua mix in , which we had hoped to bring you on Monday, but technical difficulties kept us from doing so.

3. Georgia drivers will see new state license plates go into production next year. Residents can help determine which plate design will go into production . The polling, which began Monday, follows another plate design vote, the results of which were thrown out due to confusion over the state’s “In God We Trust” decal.
4. Thirty-two individuals “paid a visit” to the Adult Detention Facility this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Learn more about these people .
