Paulding Plans Park, Amphitheater

Paulding County is seeking qualified contractors for a $2-million park and amphitheater, according to the Paulding Neighbor.

Construction of the Paulding County Government Center Park is expected to begin in August on vacant land between U.S. Hwy. 278 and the Watson Government Complex. The park is expected to feature an amphitheater with a lawn area, a pavilion, a fitness station, Wi-Fi and more, according to the report from the Neighbor.

Proposals are due at 2 p.m. July 19 in the purchasing division, 240 Constitution Blvd., Dallas. Commissioners are scheduled to award a bid for the project at its July 23 meeting, according to the Neighbor.

Construction is expected to last until the end of the year.
