Paulding County is under a flash flood watch until Friday morning.
"Rainfall of four to six inches is likely with localized higher amounts possible through Friday morning," according to an afternoon bulletin from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. "These amounts will be sufficient to produce flash flooding in the watch area."
The National Weather Service urges people to take the following precautions:
- Do not attempt to cross water-covered bridges, dips or low-water crossings.
- Never ty to to cross flowing stream—even a small one—on foot.
- To escape rising water, move up to higher ground.
