1. We’ve got to get some rain out of the way before we can get to a sunshiny weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of showers this morning, then showers and thunderstorms are likely after 11 a.m. Otherwise, we should see partly sunny skies and a high temp just over the 80-degree mark. Tonight, rain and storms are likely, mainly before 8 p.m., with clouds and a low in the mid 60s expected overnight. Overall, the chance of precipitation both today and this evening is 60 percent.

The chance of rain diminishes Friday, but Saturday and Sunday’s forecast call for sunny skies all the way, with the sunshine expected to continue through at least Wednesday.
